MIRPUR: A young man was burnt alive and another was seriously injured when their car caught fire after falling into a ravine on Wednesday. According to the police, Muhammad Saleh’s car fell in a roadside gorge and caught fire when he tried to give way to a truck coming from the opposite direction. Saleh was burnt alive in the fire, while his friend Muhammad Suleman suffered serious burn injuries in the accident. The police said that the road was dug a few months back to lay water pipes, but it had not been repaired. The injured was taken to District Headquarters Hospital, where he is being given medical care. Saleh’s body was handed over to his parents after an autopsy.
