Busted: Four women held for supplying drugs

Jail officials seized heroin and hashish from the women.

Four women were allegedly caught red-handed while supplying drugs to three under-trial prisoners (UTOs) in Adiala Jail on Tuesday.


The four women including a mother and her daughter were visiting Adiala Jail to meet their relatives when during their checking, jail officials seized heroin and hashish from the women.

The nabbed women were handed over to the Saddar Bairuni police who registered separate cases against them under anti-narcotics law.

The police said that Farhat Shaheen and her daughter, Asma Naureen, residents of Dhoke Farman Ali, were carrying a small quantity of heroin when they came to visit a prisoner Saqib Khan.

Moreover, the jail authorities arrested Khalida Sadiq, a resident of Ziaul Haq Colony, when she tried to deliver hashish to her husband, who is serving a sentence at the prison.
Similarly, another woman who had come from Jhelum to visit an under-trial prisoner in the jail was captured while delivering hashish to her husband Raza Hassan Shah during a meeting with him.
