Snooker: Asif halts Sajjad’s run to enter final
2nd seed faces Sultan in National Snooker Championship decider.

Former champion Mohammad Asif stormed into the final of the National Snooker Championship after outclassing fifth-seed Mohammad Sajjad 6-3 in the semi-final.
Asif will take on unseeded Sultan Mohammad who stunned Naveen Perwani 6-4 in the first semi-final.
Sajjad, the former Asia number two, went behind early as Asif won the opening frame 76-1. Sajjad responded strongly, taking the second frame 86-1 before winning the third frame 79-26 for a 2-1 lead. The sea-saw battle continued as Asif sealed progress with a 72-36, 108-25, 64-6, 29-89, 77-16 and 91-61 score-line.
Meanwhile, Sultan defeated Perwani 67-51, 17-59, 57-54, 17-63, 88-24, 94-0, 22-54, 9-70, 57-36 and 66-46.
