Only 13 years old, Iqbal now teaches students older than himself. He has also started giving lectures to students of FAST University and Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) and to those living in far flung areas of Interior Sindh via Skype.
The young IT genius has excelled in different programming languages including Microsoft.NET framework and C Sharp.
After scoring 84.4% in web application, Mauhib mastered different technologies including database web application, security software and motion capture.
“I don’t limit myself when I think about doing something, I believe in going an extra mile,” Iqbal said.
Iqbal wants to study in a foreign university and to use his skills for the betterment of the country.
“Mauhib is Pakistan’s asset and he can make the nation proud just like Arfa Karim,” said one of his teachers.

MashAllah , anyone can get certificates I have many. The experience counts when you need to teach. Everything is not know by Microsoft courses and Knowledge is limitless.
Apples founder Steve Job developed a computer he had something to show and made the post successful company in the world but was never asked to teach as he had no university degree.
Talking on the mobile phone while watching his laptop anyone can do this.
This is a HOAX
Dear Tribune, please check your facts before putting them in print. Mauhib is not faculty at FAST.
More misreporting by the Tribune. I know for a fact that Mauhib was never part of the faculty at FAST.
if 13 year old start teaching that says a lot about our teaching standards
get some education kid!
Indeed we need more & more Arfaas and Mauhibs in this country.
MashaAllah. May God bless this boy. our record is bad in protecting talent for inland use. Rather we force the talented people be thron out for benefit of others
Good luck and great job done Muhaib. You are our pride like Arfa. May you succeed in all walks of life, :-) I think you are same who comes in biscuits advert.
@Rehan: his name is Mauhib, not Munib...
Excellent Work done by Younger brillient student Mohib, We people have ability, to do any thing we just need a Good Ruler inshaAllah pakistan will become one of the developed countries in the world very soon...............................
I am tired of media! PTV, SAMAA etc. each one of them wants to sell content! They are creating a dogma in society lying to themselves everyday! First they promoted a boy named Amaar Afzal (The guy who created windows 9 that has no roots in Microsoft since they are yet working on Windows 8). Then another one who somehow wrote 7 Operating Systems (My sympathies for Andrew S. Tanenbaum, Linus Torvald and every hero who threw his blood in for those marvels) and now this. This is all a HOAX!!!
As wonderful as this is I think it will be a waste if the kiddo is thrown in the deep end of teaching world when he can surely achieve much more with right training and guidance. He is an asset right now but if we are limiting him to teaching job then it will be a waste of resource!
MashaAllah What a talented boy. Pakistan is full of talent like this they are just waiting to be discovered.
I tried but could not get any confirmation that this guy is teaching at FAST or MAJU? May be had visited some or one uni and shared his work with some scientists (It is not teaching to them). Can any student of this guy please share here the experience?
Oh Welcome.... g in MAJU Mashallah
This is the 2nd consecutive case that I came to know today, having this much proficiency in technology. So it wasn't just Arfa Kareem we have been blessed with, there are actually plenty, looking for some attention.
@Author: 2nd para. .NET is a framework for development and C Sharp is a programming language, both are different things, you are confusing a framework to a language...
Thanks for sharing by the way!
That does not speak well of these universities. He must be very good, but a few short courses do NOT make you good enough to become a professor. We need to improve our universities, not go down the hill.
In complete report !!!! What courses is he teaching ?
He can teach to certification classes/ or may be Lab assistant in university but he cannot be lecturer at university, as he is ineligible. For lecturer in university, its not all about certification courses or practical skills but the indepth theoretical knowledge.
He may be a genius, or, he is a genius, OK. Good for him and good for Pakistan but this does NOT mean he should be teaching in a university. This does not make him a university lecturer! You need to be qualified to be a lecturer, I am with all my heart appreciating his talents but a university lecturer at the age of 13, please give me a break. He can contribute and collaborate with students and faculty in a different capacity like a research assistant or a researcher but a lecturer? NO.
No words can appriciate what this boy has done. I salute him. But at the same time, just to know one thing does qualifies a person to teach especially at the level is uni.So i equally condemn this , him teaching at uni level. But on the same time, the level of other highly qualified teachers at other unis, many of them are also not qualified for there jobs, so doesnot matter. At the same time, this childish decision by these unis tell us the level of teaching these unis are providing to thier grats. what I want to say? its a bad decision and not appriciable at all to put him to teach at uni level.
SubhanAllah. Well done Mauhib ! And even better done Sir Syed University for putting convention aside and promoting talent...Sir Syed Ahmed Khan himself would have been pround of what you have done ! Please nurture the young genius and bring out his potential to the fullest. May his example inspire others like him to also shine forth.
So a kid gets a few certifications and becomes eligible to teach at our universities??
Mauhib, instead of wasting your time in this farce, polish your skills and start preparing for targeted scholarships. I believe there are some excellent US/European exchange scholarships at school/highschool levels. Best of luck.
@mmk: not even in MAJU
Oh cmon ppl.. i dnt understand how he z teaching thre :O university level z nt matric or fsc here evn fr highly qualified teachrz it z difficult to handle class n make the ppl to learn its quite odd tht a small child z teaching i wonder how he z tackling all tht specially universities like fast r doin thz unbelievable... thz z nt smethng to appreciate evn if he z genius he must complete due level of teaching i mean degree thn cme to field i dnt undrstnd due to which policy universities r taking him as "FACULTY MEMBER"
My all the best wishes for him.
May Al-Mighty Allah keep him away from evil forces. Ameen.
Masha Allah :D
@Unar... what part of "genius" is hard to understand? genius means someone with an IQ way higher than not only his peers but also ppl much older than them. So take a chill pill.
Umar just because someone is 13 does not mean he is incompetent.
There is hope for the future indeed.
I am sure when his generation will grow up, Pakistan will reemerge as the growing power it was meant to be.
HIP HIP HOORAY!
@unar If someone wants to be a pessimist, one should learn from you! These young geniuses in Pakistan are signs from Allah that we Pakistanis should not lose hope!! Many of us have no hope whatsoever because of the current conditions, but Allah tells us not to lose hope and keep trying for the best!!
So, the standards are so low at these universities that a 13 year old is teaching 'older' students. Please guys, this ain't a good thing, see the other side of it.
Just when you start to lose hope in Pakistan and Pakistanis, along comes someone like Mauhib who reassures you that there is still hope. I wish him all the best for his future and pray that we create more gems like him who can bring back glory and respect back to Pakistan, Ameen!
To be honest, i have lost count of prodigies coming out of Pakistan lately. This is excellent and truly matter of great pride that our youth possess some extra-ordinarily talents which when provided opportunities can shine among the best in the world.
Go to the best foreign university and excell further.... but do come back to Pakistan at the end of it! best wishes and good luck !
Great Yaar!!!
This is fab. So, my friends in MAJU are going to be taught by this genius. Great! We have another hero here.
Masha'Allah. Salute to you from SSUET students :)
Wish u best of luck Munib...
It reminds me of what IQBAL said years ago, "Zara num ho to ye mitti bari zar-khaiz hai saaqi"
Uh no he doesnt teach at FAST ...get your facts straight ET for heavens sake, he is still only in sir syed!
Masha Allah
MashAllah
