PESHAWAR:
The Peshawar High Court on Monday recorded statements from three local journalists, as it continued the judicial inquiry into how the baby in the Karak rape case went missing from hospital just after her birth on January 20.
District and Sessions Judge Ziauddin Khattak asked Nadia Sabuhi, Mumtaz Bungash and Riaz Khan what the victim, Uzma Ayub, had told them about how the baby went missing and was then reunited with her mother.
The inquiry was ordered by Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Dost Muhammad Khan, after taking notice when Zeba, Uzma’s daughter, went missing last month.
