Doing Their Job: NAB disburses cheques to scam victims

NAB distributed cheques worth Rs3.073 million among 27 affectees of bank fraud and forex scams.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa division of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) distributed cheques worth Rs3.073 million among 27 affectees of bank fraud and forex scams at their offices in Hayatabad, Peshawar on Tuesday.


The Director General NAB KPK Col (R) Khurshid Alam distributed the cheques, taking the total disbursed amount to affectees to Rs6.65 million.

The authority had taken action against M/S Perennial International, a cashier at National Bank Distrtict Mansehra Tasneemul Haq and businessman Habibur Rahman for their involvement in fraudulent activities, after which they entered into plea bargains to settle their liabilities.

The DG lauded the efforts of the investigating officers in recovering amounts worth billions of rupees and advised citizens to be wary of fraudulent elements.
