Police constable Inayat Ali was arrested for negligence but was later released on bail. Malik Altaf, an inmate of the central jail, who was involved in an attempt to murder along with a police encounter, appeared before the District and Sessions judge.
He was handed over to the lockup in-charge but fled despite the presence of policemen. Moreover, they only realized he was missing when they did an actual headcount.
