Football: Islamabad victorious in U14 clash

ISLAMABAD: Hosts Islamabad outclassed Chaman Zone 3-0 in their National under-14 Football Championship match. Ahsan, Shehryar and Hassan scored for the victors. In the day’s second fixture, Karachi B defeated Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 2-1 courtesy goals from Rehan Khan and Amir Hussain. Meanwhile, Lahore Zone and Gilgit-Baltistan’s clash ended 1-1. Muzammil Habib gave Lahore the lead on 15 minutes, while Sultan Ali scored Gilgit-Baltistan’s equaliser six minutes later. In the day’s final fixture, Nowshera Zone downed Balochistan 4-2 with a brace from Muhammad Umair and a goal each from Wali Khan and Shan Ali.
