Sindh were bowled out for 225 in the first-innings of their fourth round Pentangular Cup match against Punjab on day one. According to information provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board, Bilalwal Bhatti starred for the hosts with a five-wicket haul, while Asif Raza gave him good support with four for 82. Khurram Manzoor top-scored for Sindh with 36. In reply, Punjab reached 59 for no loss. Elsewhere, Balochistan battled to 223 for eight against Federal Areas. Rao Ifitikhar and Sadaf Hussain took three wickets each, while Rehan Rafiq scored a patient 66 of 199 deliveries. Gulraiz Sadaf supported him with an unbeaten 54.
