Landmine Blast: Two policemen killed in Naseerabad

Two policemen were killed and another sustained injures in a landmine explosion in Naseerabad.

QUETTA: Two policemen were killed and another sustained injures in a landmine explosion in Naseerabad district on Saturday, police said. The two policemen – identified as Sher Mohammad Umrani and Hamid Ali Lehri – were on their way to a Hussain Bakhsh check-post, on a motorcycle which hit a landmine. As a result, both the policemen were killed on the spot and a passerby was injured. Police have registered a case and started investigation. Separately, suspected insurgents fired three rockets in the provincial capital, whipping up fear among residents. Police said the rockets, fired from an unknown location, landed at three different places, however no casualties were reported.
