The fourth day of the 2012 National Snooker Championship saw ninth-seed Sohail Shehzad, Vishan Gir and Bilawal Agha register wins at the Karachi Gymkhana.
Shehzad saw off Mohammad Nazeer’s challenge in a thrilling 4-3 win. Shehzad took the first frame 61-1 but lost the following three 55-49, 97-0 and 97-17. However, he took the fifth frame 68-39 and sealed the victory by winning the next two frames 82-1 and 65-33.
Meanwhile, Gir took outplayed Yasir Shehzad 4-0, while Agha beat Zahoor Ahmed 4-1.
The last round of league matches begins today, with the top 16 players competing in the knock-out stage tomorrow.
