‘do not use bunkers as storage space’.

LAHORE: A one-day workshop on bank security was held at Civil Lines police station on Friday. Bank managers and officials from Qila Gujjar Singh and Garhi Shahu areas were invited to the workshop.

Civil Lines SP (Operation) Umar Saeed Malik, DSP’s and other police officers gave the participants tips on bank security. According to a police official, bank officers were warned against using guards as office boys. Proper scrutiny of the guards to be assigned bank security before they are assigned was stressed. “Bunkers for guards are being used for storage.

This is totally unacceptable,” said one of the trainers. “A bank was robbed and its guard was unable to offer any resistance because his cabin was being used as a store room. This only helps criminals.”
