ZAGREB: Sixth-seed Marcos Baghdatis defeated Poland’s Lukasz Kubot to secure a berth in the quarter-finals of the Zagreb Indoors tournament. Baghdatis, the 2007 champion at the same event, won 6-4, 6-2. He faces defending champion Ivan Dodig in the last-eight after the fourth-seeded local hope beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Meanwhile, second-seed Alex Bogomolov suffered an upset at the hands of Slovakia’s Lukas Lacko as he crashed to a 6-0, 6-7, 6-1 defeat.
