Cycling: Awais bags two golds on day 1

Awais Ali swept the honours on the opening day of the 46th Punjab Cycling Championship as he bagged two gold medals, according to a press release from the Punjab Cycling Association. Awais, hailing from Faisalabad, won the one-kilometre time trial event with a time of one minute and 21 seconds with Talha Babar finishing three seconds behind. Shafqat Ali claimed the bronze medal with a time of one minute and 34 seconds. Meanwhile, Awais also bagged gold in the four-kilometre individual pursuit event with a time of six minutes and 21 seconds, while Sunny finished second and Nasir came in third.
