Justice Muhammad Khalid Mehmood Khan of Lahore High Court on Wednesday issued a contempt of court notice to Punjab Secretary Transport Muhammad Yousaf and directed him to appear on February 6.

A widow, Riffat Nazir, filed a petition stating that the transport department was not paying salary, pension and other emoluments, for eight years, of her deceased husband who died during service.

She prayed that the court had earlier ordered for payments of dues.

The petitioner requested the court to initiate contempt proceedings against secretary transport and other responsible officials for violating the court order.

Red tapism always creates problems for deserving Pakistanis.

Is this the way to run a government?

The entire system of the country has collapsed since ever PPP came into power.

We are counting days when PPP would leave Pakistan and the Pakistanis?

Enough is enough.

PPP will not get any more chance to run the government in future.
