Punjab sauntered to a comfortable 10-wicket win over Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on the fourth and final day of their second-round Pentangular Cup clash, according to information provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Having been set a modest target of 75 runs, the hosts broke no sweat as Nasir Jamshed, who stroked a quickfire 50, led the chase and hammered the K-P bowlers as Punjab finished on 77 for no loss. Jamshed’s knock included 11 hits to the fence. He was provided able support by Ahmed Shahzad, who made 26 that included three boundaries.

For K-P, Khalid Usman and Imran Khan could do little to stop the flow of runs. Usman went wicket-less having given away 40 runs of 6.4 overs, while Khan’s six overs cost K-P 37.

The star of the show was undoubtedly Punjab’s Raza Hasan, who finished with 10 wickets in the match, after having secured two five-fors in the highly one-sided contest.
