SARGODHA: University of Sargodha vice chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Akram laid the foundation stone of Haleema Sadia Hostel here on Thursday. Addressing a ceremony on the occasion, he said the construction of the new hostel building for women was unavoidable in view of the increasing number of girl students being admitted to the university. A special grant had been approved for the purpose, he added. He directed the project director and the contractor to complete the construction before October 1, 2012.  He assured them that the administration would release all payments on time so that delays could be avoided. Project director Shahid Anwar informed the gathering that the building would have capacity to accommodate 400 students. The building, he said, would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs75 million. Faculty members and other staff were also present on the occasion.
