KARACHI: A sessions court in Karachi on Friday has reserved judgement on an application filed by former inspector general of Sindh, Rana Maqbool Ahmed.

Rana Maqbool is accused of being involved in a conspiracy to kill President Zardari when he was in jail. The former inspector general has been declared a proclaimed offender in the case.

Counsel of Rana Maqbool, Rana Shameen, requested the sessions court to cancel the decisions of declaring his client a proclaimed offender.

The application also maintained that Rana Maqbool faces life threat in Karachi, and therefore he should be exempted from appearing before the court.
