Top management: Nokia Pakistan appoints new general manager

Shafique who has 20 years of experience under his belt was previously head of sales at Nokia Pakistan.

Nokia Pakistan has appointed Arif Shafique as the new general manager of Nokia Pakistan and Afghanistan, a press release said on Wednesday.


Shafique who has 20 years of experience under his belt was previously head of sales at Nokia Pakistan. Shafique will replace former general manager Khalid Alvi who has left the company.

During his tenure, Shafique made a substantial contribution to the company’s revenue as well as its profit growth including record-breaking sales in 2011. Shafique’s expertise in critical business areas places him in the right spot to achieve flawless execution and ensure that everyone on his team understands corporate strategy. “I am certain that with the support of my team, we will achieve great milestones,” Shafique said. “Nokia will continue to meet and exceed expectations of Pakistani consumers”, he said. Shafique started his career in 1991 with Paktel Limited in sales and later joined Nokia Pakistan in 2007.
