Carlos Tevez’s dispute with Manchester City has cost the striker £9.3 million in wages, fines and lost bonuses, according to British media reports.
The striker has reportedly not been paid his estimated £200,000-a-week salary since the end of November and has been fined £1.2 million for misconduct over his unauthorised exile in Argentina. Tevez has appealed against the fine.
Meanwhile, City chairman Khaldoonal Mubarak criticised the conduct of AC Milan, whom Tevez has called his preferred transfer destination. “As things stand, Milan aren’t an option,” said Al Mubarak. “If they want considered, they’d do better to stop congratulating one another and begin to look at how they would meet our terms.”
