Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Aurangzeb on Monday granted pre-arrest bail to six people, including Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Chairman Zahid Bashir, accused of stealing files from the society’s office.
Bashir and five others were granted bail at Rs50,000 each. The judge also summoned the case record for January 30.
The petitioners contended that the allegations made against them were false and made by an ally of the former chairman of the society who had a grudge against his successor, Bashir.
According to the FIR registered on the complaint of PRCS Secretary Muhammad Saleem in Civil Lines police station, the accused stole important files from the society’s record room on January 20.
