Squash: Matthew irked at being ignored

NEW YORK: World champion Nick Matthew reached the quarter-finals of the Tournament of Champions beating Adrian Grant 11-5, 11-7, 12-10 and admitted he sometimes feels angry at how little attention his success has received. “Sometimes, I do feel angry about the lack of publicity,” he said. “When I return home after a week away, I sometimes wish there was more publicity. But when I come to a tournament with such a fantastic stage and in such a great environment, it’s hard to be anything other than grateful.” Earlier, James Willstrop also reached the quarter-finals, defeating Egypt’s Mohammad Abbas 11-8, 12-10, 11-2.
