Mohammad Ishtiaq stunned top-seed Khurram Agha in the final to claim the Sindh Snooker Cup title. The third-seed had a shaky start as Agha, the pre-event favourite, won the first frame 65-27.
Ishtiaq, who had defeated Javed Ansari in the semi-finals made it 1-1 after winning the second frame 80-35. However, Agha won the third frame 110-0 but Ishtiaq made a tremendous recovery, winning next five frames in a row 69-40, 80-79, 56-43, 65-42 and 58-49 to confirm the title. He received the winner’s prize money of Rs25,000, while Agha had to be content with Rs15,000 as the runner-up.
Losing semi-finalists Farrukh Usman and Ansari got Rs6,000 each.
