Human rights activist and Supreme Court (SC) advocate Asma Jahangir has expressed serious concern over violation of human rights in the country.
In a statement issued on Monday, Jahangir said recovery of Abdul Saboor’s dead body from Peshawar was an alarming indication and urged the SC to take the matter seriously, ordering for all missing persons to be recovered before one more person was found dead in another city.
She also condemned an incident including the torture of a married couple on the orders of a local panchayat in Dera Ismail Khan and demanded strict legal action against the perpetrators.
