QUETTA: Activists of the National Party (NP) staged protest demonstrations in major towns of Balochistan on Sunday against ‘extrajudicial and custodial killing of political workers, enforced disappearances and gross violation of human rights in the province. Score of protesters staged a noisy protest outside the Quetta press club and chanted slogans against the government for its ‘failure to retain peace in the province’. They said that despite restoration of democracy, policies of military dictators are being pursued. “The so-called democratic government apologised and announced a package but the situation has gone from bad to worse. Over 300 bodies of Baloch youths have so far been recovered,” they said. They were victims of ‘kill and dump’ policy of the government.
