Pentangular Cup: Khan, Azam star for Federal Areas

Duo puts team in strong position in Pentangular Cup clash.

Umair Khan’s 71 and Hammad Azam’s unbeaten 56 propelled Federal Areas into a strong position against Punjab, as they finished the third day of their Pentangular Cup clash on 259 for eight, an overall lead of 256.


According to details provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board, Khan’s innings was studded with eight hits to the fence. Punjab’s spinner Raza Hasan claimed four wickets for 55.

Meanwhile, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) ended the day on 218 for three against Sindh after having followed-on. Replying to Sindh’s 403, K-P were bowled out for 192 courtesy Mohammad Sami’s four-wicket haul. The visitors finished the day seven runs ahead.
