Media reports had earlier speculated that the German nationals had been arrested, but Senior Superintendant of Police (Operations) Tahir Ayyub rejected the news saying that all three of them were at their office at Park Lane in University Town.
He said that the Germans possessed proper travelling documents but lacked a No Objection Certification (NOC) to run the liaison business.
Ayyub said the security supervisor, Sadat Ali and Zameer Gul had been taken into custody and were being interrogated.
The German nationals were shifted to the University Town Police station and later sent to Islamabad for not having the required NOC.
The German Embassy in Islamabad has said that it is not in a position to comment on the issue at the moment.
