Gilani gave approval for the commemorative stamp in recognition of Arfa’s achievements at such a young age.
Arfa, who became the microsoft certified professional at the age of nine, breathed her last on January 14 at the Combined Military Hospital in Lahore.
Arfa had an epileptic attack on December 22 and had been in a coma since, while well-wishers prayed and watched her progress closely.

@ Lone Star - as a general rule, living people are seldom commemorated on stamps though in recent years, with this government especially, that rule has been broken more often with both the President and Prime Minister on stamps.

Zardari has contributed 1 million rupee to the Arfa Karim Foundation, this foundation is set up by her parents to fulfill Arfa's dream of educating the poor in IT, is that all he can afford to give? really?

The government did offer help but Arfa's father did not accept it. Try not to criticize just for the sake of it.
Just curious... why does it always have to be after death? Don't we have some living legends...or maybe we are waiting for their death???
@Ahmad: It is sad that she died but the doctors tried their level best. She was destined to have a short life. His dad was satisfied with Pakistani doctors response and efforts then I guess no one else has the right to do so. Secondly, Bill Gates sent his medical team because he wanted to increase his fame of being the real nice guy... Pakistani doctors did not neither did Arfa's parents requested help from Bill Gates!!!
