To improve the quality of research in wildlife conservation and to enhance the capacity of faculty and students through sharing resources, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa wildlife department and the Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
A joint statement issued by the two signatories said that mutual scientific and technical cooperation between the university and the wildlife department will strengthen the scientific infrastructure of the country. The cooperation includes exchange of students, faculty and officers for research and academic development.
The wildlife department will be open for students and faculty of the AUP and staff and researchers of the wildlife department will be able to access the varsity’s department for mutual cooperation and benefits, under the agreement.
The MoU will remain effective for five years unless terminated by any one of the parties by giving a notice six months in advance. Both the parties will appoint focal persons who will hold periodic meetings to work out details of the programme and to monitor the implementation and prepare annual progress reports.
