The Hindus of Umerkot have protested against the killing of a motorcyclist by bandits at Khano village on Tuesday. Armed men opened fire on two motorcyclists belonging to the Bheel tribe when they resisted being robbed. Ghanesh Bheel died and Chetan Bheel was injured. Later, hundreds of Bheels, armed with sticks and axes, started protesting and forced the traders to shut for the day. They staged a sit-in with the body and set old tyres on fire.
