The court fixed February 6 as the date for the next hearing.
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Wednesday sought help from the Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) on the maintainability of a petition seeking record of Pakistan Peoples Party’s registration with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the notification nominating Senator Babar Awan as vice president of the party. The court fixed February 6 as the date for the next hearing. Petitioner Advocate Afaq Ahmad submitted that the Pakistan Peoples Party was not registered with the ECP. He also said that President Zardari had not issued any notification that nominated Babar Awan as PPP’s vice president.
