Basic facilities: Drinking water supply for DI Khan

Two wells, four 500-gallon overhead water tanks, 700-metre water distribution pipeline installed for the purpose.

PESHAWAR: In order to overcome the shortage of drinking water in Landai and Shabizai in Kanri Wam and Sheikh Mella, the political administration of Dera Ismail Khan has constructed drinking water supply systems to benefit over 3,000 locals. According to a press release issued by the Directorate of Information, Federally Administered Tribal Areas on Wednesday, two wells, four 500-gallon overhead water tanks, one 25 KV transformer with six poles and a 700-metre water distribution pipeline have been installed for the purpose. The project was carried out by local contractors, the statement read. The political administration appreciated the role of the community for actively participating in the construction and monitoring of the projects and assured them that their remaining problems would be addressed by the government, the statement added. Elders of the communities have thanked the political administration for providing basic amenities of life in remote and less developed areas.
