Defence Secy Sacking: ‘Lt Gen Lodhi shared ‘sensitive’ info’

Lodhi as a citizen of Pakistan had the right to challenge the termination.

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed on Monday asked a lawyer to establish his locus standi to challenge the sacking of former defence secretary Lt Gen (retired) Khalid Naeem Lodhi. Earlier Advocate Muhammad Azhar Siddique tried to convince the chief justice that as a citizen of Pakistan he had the right to challenge the termination. He said that the former defence secretary had shared very ‘sensitive’ information with him on the phone. He vowed to share the information on next hearing. Justice Saeed postponed the case till January 18.
