Tennis: Ahmed outclasses Khan in 2nd round

KARACHI: British Junior Open winner Israr Ahmed cruised into the third round of the Rehana Nazr National Junior Squash Championship after beating Meherban Khan 3-0 in the under-15 event taking place in Hyderabad. Ahmed, the top seed, had received a walk-over in the first round on Saturday. Meanwhile, Ali Bukhari defeated Suleman Khan 3-1 to secure a berth in the third round of the U19 event. In other matches, Sindh top-seed Sad Shahid outplayed Ahmed Amin 3-1 and Tayyab Aslam beat Noman Zaman by the same scoreline. In the women’s U19 event, Riffat Wahab defeated Amna Latif 3-0.
