BAHALWALPUR: National Data Registration Authority (Nadra) deputy general manager Muhammad Arsalan Tahir informed journalists that Nadra staff was working hard to finalise voter’s lists for next year. “Our staff is actively working to ensure the completion of this task well in time to save voters from any inconvenience and to ensure that every genuine voter can exercise his or her right to cast their vote in the coming elections,” he said. Tahir said that due to the excess load of work Nadra’s Bahawalpur office had closed itself to the public for the near future and a mobile van had been arranged for day-to-day public dealing with regards to processing national identity cards. “Everyone will still be able to get their ID cards but the operations will just become smaller as we need to use this time to finalise the voter lists which is a huge project,” he said.
