The Islamabad High Court on Friday summoned Housing and Works Secretary Kamran Lashari on January 16 for disobeying the court’s orders.
While hearing contempt application of Public Works Department (PWD) Civil Engineer Muhammad Fayaz, Justice Shaukat Siddiqui issued notices to Lashari and PWD Director General Gulab Zameer on January 11.
Despite the notice, Lashari was absent from court on Friday, upon which the judge admonished him and summoned him to appear in person on Monday.
Fayaz was serving in Pak PWD as civil engineer. He was suspended for three months upon initiation of a departmental inquiry against him, but was not reinstated after the three months suspension period had passed.
During Friday’s hearing, Lashari informed the court through a representative that he was unable to appear before the court due to personal commitments.
