Snooker: Baig, Rafiq through to next round

Eight players from five qualifying rounds will play against Sindh’s top players that will start from January 17.

KARACHI: Shadab Baig, Babr Rafiq and Hussain Shah, along with 24 other cueists, cruised into the fourth round of the Sindh Cup qualifiers yesterday. Baig defeated Mohammad Tayyab 71-16, 65-22, 62-35, while Rafiq outplayed Aamir Mehmood 79-74, 64-28, 58-18. Shah overcame Abdul Basit Sivani 83-58, 37-78, 76-43, 77-64. Eight players from five qualifying rounds will now enter the main competition and play against Sindh’s top players in the knock-out round that will start from January 17.
