Office discipline: City staff absent too much, says Administrator

In a statement issued on Wednesday he said there were far too many absences and complaints from the public.

KARACHI: Karachi Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has asked all departmental heads of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to ensure their staff is present and in office. In a statement issued on Wednesday he said there were far too many absences and complaints from the public. KMC employees found absent from work could even be suspended, the statement quoted him as saying. “Officials who are directly responsible for dealing with public should be especially careful.”
