According to reports, his doctors in London had changed his medication and tried their best to help him recover but to no avail.
Pagara was stable for a while yesterday and was being fed through intravenous (IV) drip.
A Kingri house spokesperson said that his body is expected to be brought back to Pakistan early Thursday morning. He is expected to be buried at his ancestral shrine the same day.
Earlier the 83 year old PML-F leader was admitted to the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) on November 24, where his lungs were operated upon. Shortly afterwards, due to deteriorating condition, he was put on a ventilator.
Pagara was flown to London on a special plane on January 5, with medical equipment onboard. He was accompanied by his wife, son and PML-F president Sadruddin Rashdi, and chief khalifa of the Hur jamaat Qadir Bux Mangrio.

i like pir pighara sahb because he has done alot for the sindhi nation and they will remembered him as a good guy in future
There are other very important things to be mentioned here. The mindset of people of Sindh is more democratic and anti feudal. Sindhis believe in Sufism to a greater extent. Thus, to suppport this point I would like to qoute one living example. In the elections of 1988 and 1990 Pir Pagara lost his own personal legacy at the hands of a young midle class politician Syed Pervez Ali Shah Jillani consecutively with a wide margin. First Shah defeated Pagaro with 88,000 margin votes and second time 78,000 votes. After that Pagara announced his retirement from contesting elections. Before Shah or after no one ever defeated Pagaro. His sons then took over electrol politics and managed one seat after contesting from five different constituencies. It is interesting that a man who had his share in every government present or past still called the shots.
What prayers and why? Or, which prayers? That may be better suited given our current national mind set...
What legacy has he left? None that I know about. He was a Pir to many but not all of us. He wasn't a brilliant politician but played a middle role for many years. But death should bring prayers not antagonism.
May Allah give him a place in paradise, ameen
This is the problem with our society. The mods are no exception. There's no freedom of expression. Everyone MUST follow a religious, cultural line. No exceptions. When will you ever embrace a diversity of ideas and opinions?

For those who know the contribution of Pir Pagara, he will be part of Pakistan history.
My condolences to the family.
They always say "the vacuum cannot be filled" - though rarely is it truer than today. Pir Sb would be missed dearly.
Innalillahi Wainnailaihi Rojiun.

@Syed A. Mateen wrote: hopeful that one of his sons would be able to follow the footsteps of deceased
While I pray for God almighty to forgive Pagara Sahib's sins and bless the departed soul, the question remains why is the Pakistani mindset enslaved to the concept of heredity?
This nonsense has to stop if the the poor masses are to be freed from the clutches of the feudal lords, pirs, mullahs, and their ilk. A handful of families have held the nation hostage to their political agendas driven by greed, control, and worldly gain.
انا لله وانا اليه راجعون

May Allah keep Pir Saheb in Jannah, Ameen. He was a gentleman. My condolence to all his family members.
Tribune will not publish my true sentiments so RIP Pir sahib
It is always saddest for the family and my condolences to them. Death is the will of God, and we have to embrace it as we do all His blessings. May Allah grant Pir Sahib a lofty place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and may his family be blessed with patience to comfort them in this very difficult time of acceptance.
We will miss you Pir Sahib Pagara.
You have been very kind with the poor people.
May Allah rest his soul in peace.
innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un!!
RIP ! He was a prominent and influential name of Sindh but I hope there is going to be no holiday in Sindh because of death of Pir sahib.
R.I.P no doubt he is the prominent name in the Pakistani political history..
RIP Pir Saheb!
Not his biggest fan, but still sad to hear about his demise. May God rest his soul in peace. Condolences to his family.
My heart felt condolences with the bereaved family of Pir Sain Pagara (Syed Mardan Shah-II) and the Hurs.
Pir Sain Pagara played an important role in the country’s politics and he was the center force of the politicians.
With the death of Pir Sain Pagara, an era has also come to an end.
A political vacuum has been created after the death of Pir Sain Pagara ad I am hopeful that one of his sons would be able to follow the footsteps of deceased father.
May Al-Mighty Allah rest his soul in peace. Ameen.
