LIVERPOOL: Kenny Dalglish defended Liverpool’s record on race relations in the wake of the damaging Luis Suarez affair. Striker Suarez is serving an eight-match ban for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.  “There’s been a perception that we aren’t doing what we should be doing, but that’s not true,” said Dalglish. “We’ll always support the campaigns related to racism.” Dalglish stood by the decision to support Suarez and insisted he would never have returned to Liverpool if he thought the club was being discriminatory. “We showed support for Luis, but some people interpreted that wrongly.”
