Jamrud Operation: 4 held for Peshawar doctor’s murder

Arrests were made during raids by the Khasadar Force, says Jamrud’s Political Tehsildar.

JAMRUD: Political authorities have detained four alleged killers of Dr Syed Jamal Shah in the Tedee Bazaar area of Jamrud, a sub-division of the Khyber tribal region on Monday. Dr Shah was kidnapped from the Hayatabad neighbourhood of Peshawar two months ago. Jamrud’s Political Tehsildar Shakeel Khan told journalists that the arrests were made during raids by the Khasadar Force. He added that dozens of people detained under the ‘collective responsibility law’ on Sunday would be released. Khan added that on the orders of Political Agent Mutahir Zeb and Assistant Political Agent Muhammad Jameel, a campaign has been launched against criminals in Khyber Agency.
