SIALKOT:

Thousands of angry industrialists, traders and common people staged demonstrations in different areas of the city on Monday in protest against prolonged power and gas outages.

The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), other industrial associations and socio-political organisations led the protests held at Allama Iqbal Chowk, Defence Road, Sublime Chowk and other areas.

Speaking at a press conference, SCCI President Naeem Anwar Qureshi said more protests would follow if the load-shedding issue was not addressed in three days.
