National Transmission and Dispatch Company Managing Director Rasul Khan Mahsud, after inaugurating the training session, said in order to overcome the energy crisis, it was necessary to enhance the capacity of existing set-up and bridge the gap between supply and demand by launching new power projects.
The training programme comprises a beginner course for junior engineers and an advanced course for experienced and senior engineers.
The programme will help develop the capacity of trainees to analyse and remove bottlenecks in the system such as overloading of transmission lines and transformers, low voltage profile as well as reduction in system losses by utilising state-of-the-art power system analysis software.
