JAMRUD: The political authorities have detained dozens of tribesmen in the Jamrud sub-division of the Khyber Agency under the ‘collective responsibility law’ notwithstanding the government move last year to do away with the controversial clauses of the law. On March 11, 2011, President Asif Ali Zardari had announced sweeping reforms in the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) to do away with its most draconian clauses, including the ‘collective responsibility law.’  However, the political authorities on Sunday raided the Tedee Bazaar area of Jamrud and detained dozens of tribesmen from Kokikhel clan and other people belonging to Peshawar and Bara sub-division in connection with the murder case of Dr Syed Jamal Shah.
