Illegal detentions: JI to protest on Friday

KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has finalised its arrangements for the sit-in that it will stage in front of the police head office on Friday to protest against the unconstitutional kidnapping and detention of citizens by various governmental agencies. The general secretary, Naseem Siddiqui, said that the demonstration would continue until the missing people are rescued and produced in a court of law. He said that though the JI had organised a series of protests in the city in order to get the authorities to do something, no substantial steps have been taken.
