KARACHI: Saeed Khan, one of 13 Olympians who were served legal notices by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) for levelling accusations against the body, has disassociated himself from the letter that was written to the country’s prime minister.

The PHF sent notices to each of the former players who were said to be involved in writing a letter to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in which the federation was accused of human trafficking and was also blamed for hockey’s decline in the country. “I’ve replied to the notice,” said Saeed. “No one will gain anything from the tussle and it’s hurting our national sport.”

According to an official close to the issue, Saeed has
also distanced himself from the allegations made against the PHF.
