Golf: Mehmood grabs the lead in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Ghazanfar Mehmood stormed into the lead as the second round of the Federal Amateur Golf Championship concluded yesterday at the Islamabad Golf Club. Mehmood shot a round of 78 for an aggregate score of 153. In second position was Taimur Hassan with an aggregate of 154. Meanwhile, the seniors competition concluded yesterday with Tariq Saleem winning in the gross category with a score of 163 and Malik Afsar bagging the net event with a score of 143. The first-rounds of the ladies and juniors competition were also held yesterday, with Ami Qin leading in the former category with a gross score of 86 and Rao Mohammad Hassan leading the latter with a gross score of 87.
