Model Roads: Rs780m approved for project

Rs330 million would be directly spent by the city district government and Rs450 million by the TEPA.

LAHORE: A Rs780 million plan for 20 model roads in the city was approved by Commissioner Jawad Rafique Malik on Friday. He was informed that Rs330 million would be directly spent by the city district government and Rs450 million by the Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency. He was informed that pamphlets are being distributed among the citizens to raise awareness about the project. Malik then formed a committee headed by Security additional director (retired) Younis Bharola to ensure timely completion of the project. DCO Ahad Cheema, CTO Ahmad Mobin and representatives of the Lahore Development Authority, Communications and Works Department and the Parks and Horticulture Authority were also present.
