Industries: No gas supply on Sunday

KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has said that in order to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to the industry during the whole next week, the company will observe its schedule strictly for closure of supply on January 8 (Sunday). “All industrial and captive power consumers are required to voluntarily discontinue gas usage completely from 7am Sunday to 7am Monday, as per the schedule already agreed between the stakeholders,” said SSGC in a press release on Friday. The company’s surveillance teams will monitor compliance with the schedule and will disconnect gas supply for next 48 hours of any customer found violating the schedule. The company asked the industrial consumers to cooperate with the utility in order to ensure gas supply at stable pressure for the rest of the week.
