Formula One: Buemi lands Red Bull reserve role

Sebastien Buemi has been named as the Red Bull test and reserve driver for the 2012 season, according to ESPNF1. Buemi appeared to be without a drive following his release from Toro Rosso. Having been part of Red Bull’s young driver programme for seven years, Buemi said that it was the best opportunity he could hope for after losing his race seat. “It’s good to remain with Red Bull and have this opportunity with the World Champion team,” he said. “Providing feedback on the car’s development is the next best thing to racing.”
